My Philosophy

At Pet Love, I believe that pets are members of the family and deserve the same level of care and attention as their owners. Owning a pet is a serious decision that should only be made by those who cherish the love and responsibilities that come with it. We must respect their nature, and if we choose to have them as companions, we should treat them with tremendous care.

I own, rescue, and foster cats and dogs. I believe I was born with a compassion for animals, allowing me to communicate with them in my own special way. I feel blessed to have this gift. Growing up, we had pets, and my earliest memory is of lying next to our dog, Lessie, a collie. One winter evening, my parents left for a few hours, and I crawled out of bed. When they returned, they found Lessie sleeping wrapped around me on the floor, keeping me warm. It is ok :), back in those days in Europe, it was common for parents to leave kids alone at home.

Every summer, I spent time at my grandparents' farm house, where my love for animals continued to flourish.

Why I Started Pet Love

I was born in Latvia, where fresh, flavorful food is a way of life. Rich soil, quality farming, and simple ingredients create meals that are both wholesome and delicious. Growing up, I learned that great food doesn't have to be complicated—it simply starts with quality ingredients.

When I moved to the United States, I found the food to be very different from what I was used to. That inspired me to seek out fresh, farm-sourced ingredients for myself, and naturally, I wanted the same quality for my animals.

In 2023, I started a pet boarding business, caring for dogs and cats as if they were my own. During that time, I noticed that many pets were eating only highly processed kibble. I wanted to offer something fresher and more nourishing.

That's how Pet Love was born.

I began preparing fresh meals for my clients' dogs using carefully selected, human-grade ingredients and simple recipes made in small batches. Many pet parents told me their dogs were excited for mealtime and loved the fresh food, inspiring me to continue growing Pet Love.

Today, every meal is prepared with the same philosophy that inspired me from the beginning: real ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, because our pets deserve the same love and care we give our own families.
